Kadaster Innovation Platform ‘Columbus’ nominated for the RBB award!

The innovation platform ‘Columbus’ at our client Kadaster (Dutch land registry organisation) has been nominated for the RBB award!

The RBB group (Rijksbrede Benchmark Groep) was founded by public sector organisations in order to stimulate inter-organisational learning, mobility and for benchmarking performance. The RBB award puts a good practice initiative at one of its member organisations in an extra spotlight.

We are looking forward to the award presentation on the 21st of June!

Report of Innovation Factory seminar: From ideas to successful realisation

On Thursday April 19th the second Innovation Factory seminar took place at the Innovation Leadership lab in Amsterdam. It was an inspiring and interactive afternoon.

Our first speaker, Jeroen Otto, gave insight into the stage-gate process at Heineken. Jeroen was responsible for introducing the successful Tapje, a beer draught system for home use. He showed us how the Tapje went through all stages, until it was launched onto the market. The presentation of Jeroen led to some interesting questions from the audience, mainly on what was needed to install such a refined stage gate process.

After the presentation of Jeroen, Rob de Graaf discussed the funnel from a more theoretical point of view. He pointed out four major themes that can either be success factors or failure factors in innovation: leadership, resources, the innovation process and tools.

In a break-out session, the participants were asked to split up in groups to discuss three of these themes. The teams discussed their experiences and identified a list of best practices within the themes. The identified best practices were presented back plenarily which led to a lively discussion on what is needed to strongly embed innovation in your organization.

We ended the seminar with drinks and off course there was a Tapje to test it! We look back upon an inspiring afternoon. We want to thank the speakers for their presentations and the participants for their interaction and sharing their thoughts about the innovation process.

Since pictures say more than words we made an overview of the seminar in a collage:

Innovation Factory seminar: From ideas to successful realisation

This week we organize our second Innovation Factory seminar. At the 19th of April we will dive into the process of turning great ideas in successful realisation. What are the obstacles? What will help to create a success? What does the process look like in reality?

The topic will be introduced by two inspiring speakers:

  • Jeroen Otto, development manager at Heineken
  • Jeroen Otto has been responsible for the introduction of the Heineken “Tapje”: A small draft-beer system, which consumers can use at home. He will present a case study how, at Heineken, an idea develops into a real product.

  • Rob de Graaf, director at the Innovation leadership network
  • Rob has several years of experience in innovation, collaboration and the introduction of new product and services. In his presentation he will present a structured approach to develop ideas into products and services.

After the presentation we will have a short interactive session and of course we end with drinks. We have a nice list of interesting participants so it promises to become a inspiring afternoon. We are looking forward to it!
