Our name represents our goal: Innovation Factory was founded on the belief that any company can be turned into an innovation factory.

The company name also represents a paradox: the word innovation stands for creativity and inspiration while the word factory stands for hard and honest work. We believe these two aspects of innovation always go hand in hand.

Companies become an innovation factory the moment the right balance is struck between very efficient innovation processes and the more elusive raw inspirational input. We at Innovation Factory combine these two essential ingredients in our Challenge Management specialization.

This approach is reflected on our own work floor in Amsterdam, which consists of both creative software developers as well as creative Challenge Managers. Innovation Factory was founded and is directed by Han Gerrits, Professor of Technology and Innovation at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
