Nuospace is a new enterprise wiki that will be launched november 15th. Nuospace is actually not only a wiki, but also a very simple and easy-to-use document sharing tool, blogging tool and a discussion forum. The power of Nuospace is that they use simplicity as a starting point. Which makes the site very clear. When you press the add page button you can choose between directory, wiki, discussion or a regular posting page. While in editing mode it has a very simple WYSIWYG editor, which I hope will be expanded with image embedding and easy linking to other pages.
The pages in Nuospace can be structured quite easily. When you have a page you just press the add page button and the new page will be situated below the current page. For now it is not possible to relocate a page, I hope this will be available in the future. In a page it is possible to upload documents easily. These documents have their own page with complete versioning and other options. It is also very easy to add a comment to a page, which improves collaboration. A nice feature is that you can give a document a status, which can be very valuable in larger formal organisations. You can choose between waiting feedback, approved, rejected or no status.
Something Nuospace understands very well is that the software will be available to be installed on the intranets of larger organsations. I think the hosted solution is great because you can basically work on software in a matter of minutes.
Nuospace has the potential to become a very good enterprise 2.0 tool. I am looking forward to the launch date and write the full review.
